The City Metro Bus service in Christchurch is getting better day by day. If you want to travel by a bus, then you will have to pay 3.50 dollar and your ticket is valid for 2 hours (within these 2 hours you can change bus unlimited times) for any distance you travel. You can also get one Metro Card from the Central Exchange Bus Stop which is in the City Center.
If you buy the Metro card then you will have to pay only 2.5 dollars and this is also valid for 2 hours. If you go to the Central Station, you will be able to get all the maps of all the routes and you can also get more details in the METRO BUS website.
